Three programs from weeks 6 to 9, one of which must be a refactor of something you wrote earlier.

Weight 30%. Due Wednesday of week 9, 5:00pm. Demonstration assessment — the date and the mark on this site are fictional.

Three programs from weeks 6 to 9. One of them must be a refactor of something you submitted in Portfolio 1, with:

  • the original, unchanged;
  • the refactored version;
  • the comparator output showing the behaviour is the same;
  • a paragraph on what is easier to change now, and what is not.

Marking

Holistic, out of 30. The refactor entry is weighted most heavily. A refactor that changed behaviour and did not notice loses more marks than one that was cautious and only extracted two functions.
